Hardware:
We were very impressed with the quality of the brackets included, in
addition to the stability of the expandable rod itself. However, the
clips did leave us hanging somewhat.
Seen below are the mounting brackets for the Legacy wall hanging kit by Zoroufy. A full view of both front and back, and you'll see that there was no skimping on material. These are solid metal, extremely durable, heavy weight mounts. No empty space to save on production cost.
Seen below is one of 6 clips for hanging your rug to the rod. These clips are widely used for medium to lightweight applications, often seen in carpet stores as well. For those of whom wish to mount their rugs with "invisible" mounting points, this is not the best way to go. Additionally, if your rug is particularly fragile, you may want to consider having sleeves or mounting tabs sewn to the reverse side of your rug or tapestry to be displayed. These clips should be substantial enough for most applications, however, while they look nice, they're not the absolute best route to go for all wall hangings.
Below is a close up photograph of the finish of our Legacy wall hanging rod. The quality of this again was very nice, more than substantial weight capacity in conjunction with the brackets provided. Although the rod itself had some weight to it, there was a little bit of play, which does get eliminated with proper mounting technique. Also be very cautious when mounting the rod, as the laquer finish was particularly sensitive to scratching from mounting hardware.
