When "The Customer Is Always Right" Goes Bankrupt

A local rug store in Mobile, Alabama closed last week after filing for bankruptcy. This would just be any old run of the mill store closing, but this is where the story takes a turn. Many customers claim they had put down payments on carpets and other items. Now that the store has filed for bankruptcy, the customers' are not able to get their money back. Cyndi Chapman, an 8 month pregnant woman, put down $2000 for a carpet that was to go in her nursery. Of course the owner, Devin Schaff, wasn't able to be reached by the reporting news channel. A few days later the news channel went down to the store after hearing the police had been called to remove a woman who went down looking for her money. The woman noticed that the front door was open and decided to go in. The police came and she was asked to leave, but she said she "is determined to get what's hers."
