Older Rug and Carpet advertisements do a great way of depicting "the
era." We thought this was a fun old karastan advertisement found in a
March 5, 1966 New Yorker Magazine. Geez times have changed!
While some may prefer the vintage style, a good site we came across was Area Rugs Club.
Their inventory has a great deal of depth and the site is easy to
navigate. All merchandise is from name brand manufacturers, so you
pretty much know what you're getting. Pricing is competitive, and you
won't need a decorator: There wasn't an ugly rug to be found on their
site! Keep an eye out for their blog, there's interesting
content in there. Oh, and if you're looking for Karastan Rugs, they're your starting point.
