Authentic Veramin (Vāramīn) oriental rugs are made in/around
southeast of Tehran, Iran. The Veramin
style is perhaps more commonly known for the use of a repeated, sometimes diagonally
oriented pattern which is often referred to as "Mina Khani"
design.
Generally, mina khani designs feature a highly stylized
floral arrangement circularly connected. Colors used in the floral arrangements renders the final field drawing diagonally (“lattice”).
Veramin Oriental Rugs tend to have a diverse color
range with blues, reds, oranges, ivory, and sometimes green. |
