UK Apprentice Joins the Rug Trade

The Apprentice

Apparently on the UK version of the tv show "The Apprentice", one of the contestants attempted to sell a $400 Persian rug door to door. The challenge was to have a street sale with a few certain items that the contestants did not know the price of. Since they did not know the prices, they misvalued many of the items and ended up selling the $400 rug for $100 to a man walking by on the street. Now if he had been a regular on Rug Rag, maybe he would have been able to accurately appraise the rug, and make some money on it, instead of losing close to $300!

Seems pretty wild to be practically giving away rugs.  This was an interesting story:  Sarah Garner works at a drug store, and a customer figured he could get his perscriptions a bit quicker if he bribes with a new rug. What a strange world we live in...
