The Wild Card: Versatility of Zoroufy Oriental Rug Display, Persian Rugs, Tapestries and Rag Rugs

Versatility:

We only took an upclose look at the "Legacy" model, which is Zoroufy's basic kit. They also have a "Regency" and "Grand Regency." As far as we can tell, the only difference in the models is that as they get "better" there are more sturdy clips and longer rods. 

Big plus, the Legacy kit comes with everything you need for thin to medium thickness rugs, with the option to boost capacity if you already have, or plan to sew hanging tabs on the back. With some careful decisions as to where your rug will be hanging (Watch out for sun and over the fireplace) you'll be fully installed in less than 20 minutes.

Huge plus:  If you want your rug to appear as though it's floating on your wall, the entire kit can be hidden if you have sleeves, rings or tabs sewn on the back of your rug.

Seen above, the kit we used is expandable from 28" all the way to 48".  The 48" allows for a 6" overlap of the telescoping rods, which certainly is more than enough to sustain the manufacturer's claimed 10 lb. capacity of weight per linear ft.  For those who are curious: Even the heaviest of heavy rugs weigh in at around 1.2 lbs per square foot.  Lets say you have an unbelievably thick rug in a 4'x6' size which you want to hang.  Figure the weight is roughly 29 lbs...  Practically unheard of... The hanger is rated for 40 lbs (which we tested and believe is modest) is more than 35% higher than needed even for an unrealistically heavy rug.  For most silk Qom rugs (more practical display application), this rating is easily more than 5x weight capacity necessary!  While there is some play, with weight on the bar and mounts, the kit is unbelievably stable strong and solid....  And it's only 8 screws!  More than enough for your bearskin rug, although you will probably opt for the extension to span full width if you go with the 8' skin... Perhaps two separate wall hangers.
