The Dog Whisperer is a great resource for spotting rugs, because they are always going to peoples houses and focusing on the floor area. In Season 5: Episode 8, Cesar Milan has to deal with a very angry chihuahua who is known for intimidating the pit bulls at the local pound. While in the house, we spotted what appears to be a newer turkmen rug, the design is seen in many older rugs such as Yomud, Tekke, etc. More casually, the design is known as the elephant footprint, although the guls, or repeating designs, are actually interpretations of flowers.

A lot of
owners worry about having nicer pieces on the floor specifically
because of dogs. The fact of the matter is dogs and rugs can be
completely compatible, especially when they're drapped over a couch as
seen in the photo below.
