1978/9 TV Miniseries:
Centennial (wikipedeia page):
We really enjoy some of these older TV and movie sets, especially when it comes to the rugs. Here's some insight into what may be some good keywords if you like the rugs seen in the images below.
Below: The carpet seen in this image of the Hotel Lobby is probably best attributed as having a Tabriz Design.
Below: Although distinguishing pattern is very difficult, going by the shades of color in this carpet seen in the Venneford Ranch below, there are two likely candidates for attribution. The red field has a rosey peach overtone, and appears to have an allover design. A good possibility for proper design name could be Mohajeran Sarouk or maybe even an allover kashan!
Special thank you to "NetJim" for brining this fantastic Movie Carpet to our Attention!

* We have taken on the task of identifying oriental rugs
and
Carpets from one photograph, and one photograph only! Bear in mind,
the names and key terms provided below are simple insight and
suggestions as to what
the rug or carpet at hand may be, not necessarily definitive
information. Proper identification of an Oriental Rug or Persian
Carpet by a professional should be done in person, or at least with the
Rug Rag standardized Oriental Rug Identification Sample Photographs. If
you have additional insight on these rugs, or have taken a particular
liking to any one, feel free to comment in the field at the bottom of
this entry!
