Featured at this auction are close to 200 fine Persian and Oriental Rugs & Carpets from the distinguished inventory of Mike Tschebull, legendary author, collector and scholar of fine Oriental Carpets.
As stated by Michael B. Grogan of Grogan & Company: "[Tschebull's] approach to running his gallery over the past 25 years has been admirable. As a husband and wife team, Mike and Inge personally inspected each purchase to be sure it met their exacting standards and took pride in pleasure in working directly with their clientele. While the auction is to represent many years of their highly regarded experience in the business, the Tschebulls' themselves are not leaving the rug World behind. According to Mr. Grogan, President of Grogan & Co., the couple wishes to offer their fine collection and retail inventory to the public as a means to begin a new chapter of their lives, moving away from the retail store front to travel more extensively, and deal in Oriental Rugs with a lower profile on a more private basis.
