One of the most overlooked aspects of oriental rug ownership is not having properly secured ends. Although in this particular video the purpose seems to be both for reduction and securing, if a carpet does not have proper end finish, rows of knots can potentially be lost. Just as an example, a carpet where the minor border has been worn away may have value impacted by 70% or more! Make sure those ends are properly fixed!
