Lot 172, Silk Heriz Rug circa 1875

In order to follow through with the Rug Rag Requests, we ask the short form below to be sent back to us (info (at) with at least one photograph example of a rug you like.  This is to confirm design noted is what would be considered an Industry standard.  For example, rugs attributed to "Heriz" may have been produced in one of many different areas: Goravan, Mehriban, etc.*  We also have a form at the bottom of this page for you to copy & paste with your specific criteria.

After receipt, we may do one or more of the following:

1. Send suggestions from inventories we've seen, 2.  Provide proper keywords for searches online, 3. Keep your notes on a rolling list as we come across potential matches online.  This is a free service we offer, we are not middlemen, we do not sell rugs, and we do not receive "benefits" from offering this courtesy.  If you are unsure of style which matches your taste, you may enjoy experimenting with the Rug Rag Style Guide, or browing our Archive of Auction Rugs for reference.  For standard area rug size reference, please see our Oriental Rug Chart.
