RugRabbit Marketplace Resource

RugRabbit Logo

We often are approached by internet visitors on how they may get started in the world of collecting rugs.  While one of our favorite hot spots is eBay's most watched rugs, there is another site which has caught our attention over the years.

RugRabbit is a website which brings together collectors, connoisseurs and rug sellers alike.  You're bound to find anything from bagface rugs, to fragments, antique workshop carpets, tribal rugs, jajims, kilims, saris, and even antique suzanis, coat/dresses and other textiles.  There are some very well known names in the business who offer their merchandise on the site.  It's worth a look for anyone interested in browsing images for acquisition, or even just seeing the interesting and ecclectic world of older rugs and textiles!

Some of the best offered for sale by with the best pictures in some cases by well known and unknown people around the world. It takes days to see them all. They have 15 pages of Balauchis alone. No new rugs here they pull them if they see them and it's free to post according to their site. Probably putting a strain on the auction houses a bit.
