Rug Rag Associate (RRA) Sellers

Rug Association Members

rugrag.com seeks to improve industry reprepresentation and honest online sale practices thru promoting specific selling standards and item verifications*. This assures the buyer that the seller subscribes to a high level of ethical standard in its online advertising and representation. Verifications assure the buyer that a member of our network of trustworthy Oriental Rug professionals has individually reviewed the item in question. Verifications are a courtesy we offer to the public specifically through Rug Rag Certified merchants and participating rra Platinum sellers.

rugrag.com services benefit consumers thru sellers and industry members: We receive no commission from the sellers we award badges, nor do we collect membership fees. We do not play favorites and all online rug retailers may apply to be RugRag.com members. However, we reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to invite or decline application for sellers to participate in this program. There may be sellers who do not qualify as an RRA member if they are known to engage in improper, misleading advertising or disreputable practices.

A rug rag associate (RRA) is a reputable online vendor of oriental rugs. As a member, the seller has generally demonstrated good faith effort in accurately describing information about their rugs which includes Country of Origin, Age, Genre and other characteristics of a rug relevant to aiding buyers making informed purchasing decisions. RRA members are recognized by Rug Rag with either of the two badges seen to the right.

As a more advanced Rug Rag Associate, the seller receives an additional badge recognizing quality of representation for goods they are selling. In turn, the seller is also recognizing the efforts of RugRag.com to promote the best selling standards in the industry.

Rug Rag Platinum Seller

RRA Platinum Seller: The highest stage before becoming a RRA Certified Seller. The seller has up to 25% of their online inventory RugRag Verified with minimum photograph representation (Photos 1 & 4, more if needed) or is preparing to have items verified by Rug Rag. The seller also demonstrates active efforts or already meets our Rug Rag Industry Standards.

Rug Rag Gold Seller

RRA Gold Seller: The second highest stage before becoming a RRA Certified Seller. The seller is a recognized member demonstrating good faith effort in advertising their items properly, but has no current verified items and may not plan to have any. The seller also shows interest in our free seller services on a trial basis, and recognizes our Industry Standards.

RugRag.com only verifies items for Platinum or Certified sellers. RRA sellers (Certified, Platinum & Gold Levels) are highly differentiated from "competition" when recognized by Rug Rag as distinguished e-tailers of Oriental Rugs. While RugRag.com recognizes efforts of RRA sellers, this does not guarantee authenticity of any one item being hand knotted: We strongly encourage both buyers and sellers to excersize our item-by-item verification. Buyers may request a seller to have the item authenticated through us without charge. Buyers may also have items authenticated independently through us for a nominal fee if the seller is an RRA Gold Seller. While RugRag.com does not guarantee 100% perfect information, the verifications are a highly educated analysis made by our expert staff, as an independent third party.
