Measurements of Round Rugs always exclude fringe. In general, round rugs which are of modern, contemporary or otherwise "simpler" designs will often will be machine made, hand tufted, or of other less labor intensive production. While there exceptions do exist such as Tibetan design round rugs, such hand knotted versions are produced on a far smaller scale.
Round Rugs come in many different "standard" sizes. The following schedule is a sampling of what to expect in each size, in addition to general information.
