Police in Boulder, Colorado have reported that a $12,000 rug was stolen from CU Boulder's Koenig Alumni Association. The theives apparently moved the furniture out of the way and stole what appears to be an antique Mahal or Sultanabad carpet.
While there currently are no suspects, police did say they found a footprint on the doorway. This 9'x12' carpet is quite a nice piece to have in your collection, especially for a University. Whoever stole the carpet wasn't interested in keeping the rug from moving, as the padding was left on the floor.
