Last week Pope Benedict XVI took an eight day tour of the Middle East. It is the first time this Pope has been to the area, and was considered very important as far as religious relations go. He is there to visit some of the holy sites in the area, as well as to call for peace between the warring regions. We took note for the rug in the room when he met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, which appears to be a Persian nain or isfahan rug.
