April 20th, 2008: If you're in the Thomasville area of Georgia, start polishing up those clubs! The Thomasville Rotary Golf Tournament is set to give away both a brand new truck and a $10,000 oriental rug to the lucky golfers to hit a hole-in-one. According to Mr. Hank Stone, tournament chairman some $30-40,000 has been raised in previous years, proceeds of which will go to the Rotary Scholarship Fund. The tournament itself has been very successful over the years, contributing some $2-3,000 per event. The fund grants academic scholarship to a graduating seniors from each of the local high schools.
Tickets cost $85 per participating player, which includes the game, raffle prizes, food and other gifts.
