It is our mission is to educate consumers and help them to identify the finer aspects of oriental rugs. A finely woven rug can be a timeless piece of artisan craftsmanship.
Our goal is to provide excellent information and content with clear and simple explanations as to how these pieces are made, and what to look for. The art of Oriental Rug making will always exist in some form or another. However, there is no doubt with changing global economies and development of small world nations that to some degree, artisan weavers are a dying breed.
The final product of a weaving is a culmination of very intentional and carefully planned execution which is a celebration for both consumer and artist. This celebration is seen throughout the history of Oriental Rugs: from historic Poetry incorporated into designs, to hunting motifs. Our goal is to educate the consumer on both past and present, and revitalize the romance in the art of Oriental Rug making.
More than anything else, we want consumers to understand the difference between buying an item from an established Oriental Rug company vs. giant superstore with commercialized rugs intended for the masses. There are a lot of sellers out there who will say whatever it takes and make almost any claim to get that rug in your home - buy from a well known importer, retailer or e-tailer.
