According to PressTV.com, a new record for a "Sand" carpet has been acheived. The sand carpet will be on display from December 9 through the 17th, 2008. Previously, the record title of a 900 square meter sand carpet was achieved on the North Atlantic Canary Islands. The new record, using some 70 different varieties of sand, with 25 different artists measures in at a total of 1,200 square meters! A great deal of the sand has come from the Iranian island of Hormuz, which is widely known for it's red soil.
