February 8th through February 26th nazmiyal of Manhattan is exhibiting their collection of Sultanabad rugs. antique sultanabad carpets have made quite an impression these last few years with both collectors and designers alike. One of the more recent examples to post an impressive hammer price was this Ziegler Mahal, topping the out as the third most expensive rug of 2008. Antique Sultanabads are well known for their larger scale print, often more subtle color palette and unusual and large sizes.
