How large is your carpet?
Always measure in feet and inches. The length of your carpet should exclude fringe in the final measurement. Measure from the end of the pile to the other both length and width.
For round or oval rugs, measure the longest length and longest width. Do not worry about the "lost" square footage due to size. Theoretically a 7' round rug = 38.48 square feet, however for purposes of the Rug Estimator tool, you will be entering 49 square feet. In the Oriental rug Industry, round and oval carpets are always calculated the same square footage as rectangle and square rugs.
