Las Vegas Keeps Getting Shadier

Cloudy in Las Vegas

Las Vegas keeps getting shadier and it's not because of the trees. According to, a real estate agent needed to cover a $60,000 down payment that a client had put down on a house. The agent decided to draw up a second contract, which was never seen by the bank, that stated the new buyer had to purchase a $60,000 Persian carpet from the seller. Well the new buyer, who was excited to be getting such a good deal on a house, signed the contract. When the buyer asked if the carpet was really worth 60 grand, the agent said "I bought it at Wal-Mart." Needless to say, the agent isn't in trouble, but is being hired by friends of the original seller to try and recover some of their losses. Oh legally binding contracts, you're a tricky little thing.
