LOT 11113 Quashqa'i Bagface.
SOUTHWEST PERSIA, CIRCA LATE 19TH CENTURY, Silk highlights. 1 ft. 8 in. x 2 ft. 3 in.
Estimate: $500-800
SOLD: $400 + 25% Buyers Premium. 4 bids
Freeman's Comments: Very good overall condition. One end with some losses. Small localized areas with some moth damage. Some probable unraveled selvage. Generally with soft, dense clip, and with silk highlights as catalogued.
Rug Rag Comments: This piece immediately caught my attention. Colors are much richer and diverse than the photographs would have you believe. The wool was very lustrous and healthy. Photographs do not do this bagface justice.
